I love waking up somewhere new, especially after a great night’s sleep…it is even better when the somewhere new ‘feels like home’…
Last night we arrived at Peter and Elsbeth’s home in Le Mont Lausanne. It is a lovely quiet area about 15 minutes from the Lausanne Ouchy (lakeside) area. We have a room on the lower floor which has a small window looking out on a grassy lawn…three very comfy beds and a bathroom just down the hall. The other guest room was empty last night and will be again tonight, then another guest will be joining us on our final night.
This morning we have opted to take advantage of not having to drive far and allowed ourselves a sleep in which was easy to do as the room is very quiet and cool, put a couple of loads of washing through and then come upstairs for a simple breakfast of cereal and croissants that we picked up at the Coop last night. I am now sitting outside listening to the birds, using the free wifi and enjoying the clear morning….delightful!
Shortly, we will head down to the lake (Lake Geneva) and drive around to Montreux to hear Court’s first performance…the Big Band is performing just after lunch at Parc Vernex.
