I could barely wait to get home from work this afternoon, I had been thinking about playing with my new toy most of the day…only there were so many choices of what to use it for first…
In the end it came down to taste and availability of ingredients…my first cake mixed in my new mixer was an Orange Poppy Seed Syrup Cake!
The mixer was amazing…so quick and much quieter than my old one. The bowl is really huge, which will be great for making double batches in future!
For my birthday eve dinner, David made a salad and cooked salmon on the bbq…just like the first birthday after we met!
After dinner we all played Scattegories. It is one of my favourite games. The boys hadn’t played before but they got the hang of it pretty quickly.
And after the game we had cake with cream for dessert…it was still a little warm too…and very yummy!
