It is Saturday…mid term…a regular weekend…
I woke up at 5am…went back to sleep until 6…then got up and pottered around in the garden admiring the progress of the seedlings growing up from the seeds I’ve planted over the last couple of weeks…cauliflower; garlic; cabbage; radishes so far have shot up…conditions are perfect for autumn with cool crisp nights and bright clear days and today has started gloriously…
I then wandered inside and cooked up some bacon and eggs for breakfast and sat in the warm, sunny dining room and enjoyed those with David and Amanda while browsing through the morning newspaper…
By 8am it was time to get organised for our first outing of the day…hockey. Amanda has an early game today with her under 13 team at 9:30am…so we need to head off at about 8:40 to get there by 9…it isn’t really far to Clyde Park where games are held every week…
Clyde Park would have to be one of the coldest places in Toowoomba…even on a beautiful day, it is cold and windy…today is the perfect example…the sun is shining, the sky is blue and the wind is blowing icy cold.
Yet here I sit watching Amanda play….and there is no where I’d rather be!
