Home away from home
I love waking up somewhere new, especially after a great night’s sleep…it is even better when the somewhere new ‘feels like home’… Last night we arrived at Peter and Elsbeth’s home in Le Mont Lausanne. It is a lovely quiet area about 15 minutes from the Lausanne Ouchy (lakeside) area. We have a room on … Continue reading
Our Chariot
This is our car in Europe. It is a Renault Megane Berline. We picked it up with less than 10 km on the clock. It has now been to 4 countries in 3 days and travelled over 1200 km with many more countries and kilometres to go.

Left, no, the other left!
When travelling in a foreign country, there are many things to consider…where to go and how to get there are pretty much at the top of the list. Sitting in our home in Queensland, looking at the map of Europe on the internet and setting out a proposed route was easy…everything is so close in … Continue reading

One of the sites we decided to visit on our way across to Frankfurt was Verdun. We wanted to visit a site of a battle and a war cemetery whilst in France however I am not sure what the reason or motivation is behind that. Perhaps curiosity, perhaps a desire to understand a little more … Continue reading
